I think Chris's idea was to have 'multiple' squads that you can control. So you could probably have like 10 squads at first and then later he would increase that to maybe if lucky 100. Im sure he will also make it that you can also move any member between squads at any time so you can have all your archers in one squad all your tanks in another, workers, medics, ect, ect....
The world is nothing but an illusion of the mind

thinks its time to set up the next poll to vote on where we think Chris should start working next after he finishes up the character revamp and such??
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Perhaps you're right, unless he already has plans of course.Hatsune_Neko wrote:thinks its time to set up the next poll to vote on where we think Chris should start working next after he finishes up the character revamp and such??
And two more things...
1) love the signature, which doctor is your favorite? I prefer Ten most
2) I want your computer ._.

I would like to be able to designate one or more of my settlers to automatically retrieve and store items from producing buildings, like automatically fetching and storing weapons from my smithing station

I'm no developer but it seems better to get multi-threading out of the way first then revising all the content to multi-threading later down the road. Plus it's early alpha, might as well get the bread and butter out there first even if performance has been stellar.
Definitely add this. I am sick of all the extra clicking.Paulusdegrote wrote:I would like to be able to designate one or more of my settlers to automatically retrieve and store items from producing buildings, like automatically fetching and storing weapons from my smithing station
I would like to agree and add something more.deathhoof wrote:Definitely add this. Perhaps input a drop down list of jobs that can be assigned without needing to Shift + Right-click in order to assign. This would allow more Jobs such as Medic, Hauler, or Bodyguard that would be able to perform their job's functions albeit on multiple buildings/people.
That s somewhat what latest update brought, but not much in dept as that what you mean yet at least.deathhoof wrote:Definitely add this. I would like to see a better system when using weapons bench. Maybe allow to shift click to make more than one or something. Also when selecting a weapon to make, the list scrolls all the way back to the top, then i have to find my place again in a full list of stuff. Also a system that would tell me what lvl bench i need for the weapon.

Personally, i would like to see ALOT of UI work done.
just a few things that spring to mind.
- Several buttons and icons are clipped off the UI screens in some areas.
- The mini-map needs a zoom function badly (especially when you play at massive resolutions), and the cross needs to be replaced with a directional arrow.

Could there be a "Strength Recommendation" on weapons please? It's annoying trying to guess what stats I need to swing a heavy weapon at a effective speed.
Oh c'mon don't hide, we know you want a brothel full of men.kaelis33 wrote:Brothel houses please and female models please in reverse order...not Brothels then female models
Back to topic though: Ranged weapons or turrets. Preferably turrets. I would love to station troops on a perimeter around my town and fend off those bastards who keep trying to invade -.-'
I would like to see unit grouping, garrison housing and the ability to set units to garrison at an attack. This may also need an alarm system (bell tower). Flashing portraits when your men get attacked, nothing is more annoying than having half your miners die before you notice.
Animals for farming mats and pets. Things like sheep cattle and fowl can produce meats and materials. Also just general Animals, wild animals maybe you could tame and have as guard animals. A couple of dogs hanging out at the outpost.
Also I would like to see lighting. Inside and out. It gets frustrating if there is nobody inside and it blacks out, trying to see the warehouse full of storage boxes is tricky.
I have so many wishes and dreams, but for now I'm keeping them to myself and seeing where this thing heads. I am hoping for a lot of crafting, I've been wanting a crafting game for so long and this looks likes it's heading that way, so my fingers are crossed.
Just thought of one. A changing economy of some sort, I'm bad with money so I can't suggest too much, but if different towns have different pricing for things so it's a viable option to caravan goods from town to town if you get to know the needs of the town.
The guy next to me just suggested a compass, maybe you could craft one.

I d like to have a system to randomize dialogue choices and having the ability to create quests. I mean, for exemple :
I add 5 dialogues to a NPC and when i talk to him i have 20% chance to get the dialogue 1 or 2 or 3, etc. And once that a dialogue containing a quest objective is selected and that i accept the quest, then i d like to have a variable set to this quest so everytime that i ll talk to this NPC then he ll ask about the quest according to the variable set (it would depend on your advancement into this quest). And once that the quest is completed, i d like to have an option to get a reward (money and/or items).

For me:
1) Grouping (So I could more easily manage my town, even if this is boiled down to drag and drop arrangement of the portraits.)
2) Flashing portraits, or some other form of letting me know my people are getting slaughtered en mass
3) Simple Quests (Ex. Capture a Dust Bandit Leader)
4) Compass for map, or at least arrows instead of Xs.
5) Animals (Both for farming and wild)
This game is already pretty fun, I have high hopes for the finished product!
